R - Loving God and Loving my neighbor


 Episode 11 of 30


Before discussing how my confusion stopped, I want to touch on loving your neighbours. 


What does it mean to love those who are not like you?

Does being a Christian mean you can’t be friends with those who are not Christians? How do you relate with your co-workers and team members who aren’t Christians? How do you relate with your family members who aren’t Christians? Think and ponder on these questions! 


I must clarify that Loving God and Loving your neighbour does not necessarily mean you have to do the same thing your neighbour does. However, The Love of Christ Compels us to love others regardless of religion or ethnicity. One mistake I made when I wanted to stop being confused in 2016-2018 was that I brutally stopped talking to my best friend (Fatma). 


Oh, mine!!!! I didn’t mention that she taught me many good and moral ways of doing things as a woman. I learnt how to best design a home and make it anywhere conducive to live from Fatma. She was selfless and a giver; my giving habit increased because of her, and she always looked out for me. 


Unfortunately, I was determined to pursue Jesus more than ever before, and it caused a strain in our relationship as I had to come to the fact that we were not serving the same God in the understanding that I had. I love her so much, and she is a mother of two princes now.


When I told her about my decision to pursue loving Christ more, I probably did it in a not-so-pleasing manner, but regardless, she always had my back and was a kind, sweet person!. 

She was the one who could say to my face, Dorah, “Your mouth is bad; you need to learn how to talk to your elders.” Hahahaha 🤣👀👀😂😂😂😂🤣.  


But you know what, it pays to relinquish all and serve Christ. 

When I mean “all,” including myself and the things I thought I had known about life, I needed to start learning how to pick the Cross to follow Christ.

E - Something Special, Yet Painful!

  Episode 13 of 30 My Passion for Nursing school!!! Have you ever pursued something that looked like a success, at first yet became a failure? (failure, in the sense of  human reasoning). Something I didn't mention earlier was that before I was selected to be part of the youth executives, I was already in the process of applying to nursing school. Episode 14 of 30 From being a Regular executive to becoming the Youth President! First time visiting my blog! You are welcome.
