Episode 12 of 30

So, after I continued in my confusing dual religion for sometime, I migrated from Egypt to Canada in 2015. A few months after practicing Muslim and Christianity in Canada, I decided to stop being confused. Even my roomie then was confused alongside me, every time they asked me what religion I intend to choose, I was always confused and speechless. It got to the point that whenever I was about to pray in Muslim way, I would find myself singing worship songs and crying.

At that point, I knew Jesus would never let me go, and that HE wanted more out of me. Immediately, I remembered the church my friend had invited me to for the Christmas Eve celebration during December 2015.

And so, I started attending the church and I devoted myself to following Christ in my own way. But you know what, one thing was lacking, which was having a “discipler”. Like I said previously, I wanted to love Jesus, I knew that from within me, but there was no one who could guide me on how to love Him.

During the period of 2016 to 2018 of me trying to be a Christian, I kept finding myself in different situations and mistakes. From one mistake to another, from one trouble to another until I eventually became one of the youth executives in my church and certain things began to shift.

Now, the question I 'did like you to ponder upon right here is, Why was it that it was until I became a youth executive before I began to act and think like a Christian?

Ultimately, it was the fact that I was now accountable much more than before. This is a form of discipleship in disguise. Discipleship entails someone modeling a path for another person to follow. But I didn’t understand the greater work that was ahead of me. Few months later the Leaders in the church I was attending decided to change the scope of the youth leadership.

I remember one day, My Pastor asked to see me and I was super scared about what the meeting was going to be about. Anyways, I went to his office and we got talking. And he told me, I would like you to pray about being the next Youth President.

[In my head, I was like You…uuuth…..πŸ˜€ what?] I was super scared 😟and immediately I was going to say No!. But he said go and pray about it and get back to me…

So what next? Did I become the Youth President? We will find out in Episode 14!

But first, In Episode 13, I would like to talk about something really special.

Please, share to others to read!

  1. For you to walk circumspectly with God, knowing your identity and where you belong is key. If this is not there, you can be confused and not knowing you are. But we thank God for his spirit and the light of his word (when our path is lightened, we are far from confusion because we are perpetually led by the spirit of God). If you are reading this and you are yet to figure your place in God, I believe the subsequent episode will show you how to be on the Lord’s path and put and end to confusion in your life. But in the mean time, let me say this. To find your place and where you belong, you must know the only true God, this is not religiosity, John 14:6, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one will come to the father except through him.no back door, not even religion can lead you to God, only Jesus the son. Every other thing may look like one but if it is not Jesus, there is no life in it.
Secondly, be led by the spirit and walk in the spirit(Romans 8:14 and Galatians 5:16). Here is the power state to live the life ordained for you by God.

God bless this blogger and the page for revealing this to us.

    Shalom!
