T - Life at Jos

 Episode 6 of 30

My unusual attachment to the northern place in Nigeria!

Life at Jos was a turning point for me!
If you have ever been to Jos before (The northern part of Nigeria), you will agree with me that it is beautified with lots of mountains and also, if you’ve lived in Canada 🇨🇦 before or you currently live there, you would love to visit Jos 😃. The Cold 🥶 in Jos cannot be compared to that of Canada 🍁; however, it can be a starting point for those who currently enjoy the sunny weather and plan to move to Canada or any other colder country.

Anyways, God bless Pastor Michael Bolarinwa. He guided my journey of transformation. For the first time, I recognize what it means to Love Jesus. At this point, I devoted myself more to knowing Jesus. Even though my first experience living there was painful because I needed to wake up every day at 5am for prayers. While living with my parents, we also had to wake up early for morning devotion, but most of the time, I could pretend and not mind my parents.

Living with Pastor Michael and his adult children was different. You had no choice, devotion was compulsory every day, and This pissed me off because I was like, couldn’t Jesus understand that people need to sleep? Hahaha 😂 .. anyways, I eventually loved it, and that was how my journey in Christ started. We had a manual; each person needed to read a section and explain one or two things they understood. I had no clue! I was continually dumbed most of the time, but after devotion, I privately read the Bible myself.

You know what? I need to 'gist' you this part.

No one told me that as a new believer, I shouldn’t start reading the Bible from the book of Revelation😁😁😁 I read the Book of Revelation in two days or so, and immediately after reading it, I was crying non-stop. I remember typing a long message to all my contacts and telling them to repent because Jesus was coming back. I told myself I wasn’t going to have friends or even make friends with anyone who is not sanctified and set aside for God’s use only. How childish I was in my FAITH!
But those periods were my formative years and it shaped certain things that I do till date…

Friends, don’t tell me I have bored you with my story. Bear with me. It’s a 3-decade story.

Let’s take a deep breath and continue from episode 7
